History matters and Austria is where it all began. We’re talking about skiing here, and it is not by chance that Snowminds hosts most of our instructor training courses in the Austrian resorts. Austria rightly has many claims to fame, including being home to the world’s first ski school and many world champs. It also hosts the liveliest aprés-ski culture anywhere on earth. In short, you can’t go wrong with Austria.
At Snowminds, we believe that a season as a ski instructor is far more than just skiing itself. That’s why we do everything in our power to make your season as unique, challenging, and unforgettable as possible.
A ski season in Austria offers a wealth of adventures on- and off- the mountain. You will have the opportunity to try night skiing, toboggan runs, aprésski, hiking, tour skiing, snowkiting, and watching World Cup races. Just as importantly, the experience gives you the chance to make a lot of new friends and be part of the amazing Snowminds instructors community. With colleagues from around the world, you basically have no choice but to strengthen your language skills, drastically improve your skiing and snowboarding technique and, of course, have lots of fun doing so.
The atmosphere surrounding when working as a ski or snowboard instructor in Austria is also special. It’s got a local feel. From the cozy mountain villages and characteristic architecture to family-run restaurants and aprés-ski bars, you should never get bored. Maybe get your German on level with our Online German Language course, and then you are good to go!
