Become an instructor in Madarao

Experience the hidden gem of Honshu

The Destination

Madarao is the place for you if you are looking for a bit of everything. So become a ski instructor un Madarao and start your snowy adventure!

The locals call it “the hidden gem of Honshu” – and not without reason! The area offers all types of skiing. Although the area hosted the first Freestyle ski competition and is only 2.5 hours from Tokyo, the place is still less known than the surrounding areas such as Niseko, Kiroro and Rusutsu. You get an authentic Japanese experience in a small community, and an average of 10-13 meters of snowfall ensures you can run in pristine, bottomless powder.

The Ski School

Madarao has slopes for all levels. 30% of the area is for beginners, 35% for experienced and 35% for the experts. As part of the ski school, you will see how passionate they are about teaching and developing their guests – as well as their instructors. You will become part of a strong international team and yet have an authentic Japanese experience at a local ski school.

Instructor Life

Madarao offers something for everyone. Unprepared slopes with fresh powder, wide groomed slopes, tree runs, snowparks – you name it, Madarao has it! Should you feel like trying out new slopes, there are countless other ski areas nearby for you to explore. In your spare time, there are great opportunities to explore Madarao’s backcountry and get a taste of the famous Japanese powder. If you need a break from the skiing life during the weekend, you can take the high-speed train to Tokyo, and 2.5 hours later you are in the middle of the city’s vibrant streets. Once you become a ski instructor in Madarao you will experience the Japanese culture and have many opportunities besides skiing in your spare time.
