1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 About Snowminds ApS

With Snowminds ApS (CVR. 34621950, Refshalevej 151, 1432 Copenhagen, Denmark) you as a customer can purchase travel and travel services under the following conditions.

1.2 Terms and Conditions

Snowminds ApS divides its terms and conditions into two parts:

  1. Standard terms and conditions that include all travel.
  2. Extended Terms and Conditions are to be read in accordance with “Standard Terms and Conditions” and where job placement and /or education training are part of the package.

2. STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2.1 Ordering

Your order is made by phone, e-mail, or our website. The order is binding once you have received a written confirmation. When ordering, you agree to our terms and conditions.

After booking, a travel document will be sent. The travel document must be read carefully to avoid misunderstandings and errors in connection with the booking. If you have any questions or if anything is wrong with your order, please contact Snowminds ApS.

You must be at least 15 years old to purchase anything on our website unless otherwise stated under the product on our website. When purchasing at Snowminds ApS, you confirm that you are 15 years old or older. At the same time, you agree to our terms and policies, including copyright and privacy policy. Please note that in order to travel with Snowminds ApS, you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of departure, unless otherwise stated under the product on our website.

2.2 Price

The price includes all services that have been agreed in writing and are stated in the invoice. All other expenses such as passports, visas, vaccinations, insurance, participation in team events, and the like, unless otherwise stated, are not included in the price, and the responsibility and costs of such character are borne by the buyer.

Snowminds Best Price – If you purchase a ski or snowboard instructor course with a Snowminds best price guarantee, we promise you exactly that: No matter what happens to the price of your course in the future, you will be guaranteed to pay the lowest price. For example, if the price of your course is later advertised for a lesser amount than the price stated in your invoice, then you will be offered the reduced price amount with no questions asked. We appreciate your business and intend to honor it with this fair, no-BS approach.

2.3 Payment

When you book a trip, a deposit of 800 euros must be paid within 7 days of booking. The deposit is split into two parts, with the first deposit payment of 200 euros paid upon reservation and the second deposit payment of 600 euros paid 7 days later. If you have purchased insurance or other add-ons, this must be paid with the second deposit payment.

The balance must be paid in full 60 days before departure for trips inside of the EU and 90 days before departure for trips outside of the EU.

If you reserve a trip to the EU later than 60 days before departure, or if you reserve a trip to a country outside of the EU later than 90 days before departure, the total price of the trip must be paid immediately, unless otherwise agreed. In compliance with the terms of payment, Snowminds ApS has the right to cancel the voyage without notice.

Payments are made via bank transfer to our bank which is located in beautiful Copenhagen, Denmark, where Snowminds is headquartered.

Please pay the amount in Euros via international transfer and include your payment ID as a payment reference. If you would like to pay by credit card, there is a 1.5% administration fee inside the EU and 3% outside of the EU.

In case of payment by credit card, the amount will be charged to your credit card immediately. Snowminds ApS ‘payment system works through the approved provider Stripe, Inc.

2.3.1 Deposit for Ski Vacations

Upon acceptance of the offer, a deposit of 40% of the total price of the trip is required. For bookings made less than 60 days before departure for trips within the EU and 90 days for trips outside the EU, the full price of the trip must be paid immediately unless otherwise agreed. If the payment terms are not met, Snowminds ApS has the right to cancel the trip without notice.

Snowminds ApS ‘internet trading is approved and certified by Swedbank and Nets. You can use Dankort, VISA, VISA Electron, and Mastercard. Depending on the payment card used, a fee may be imposed in connection with the transaction. Snowminds ApS points out that, under the terms of the Payment and Electronic Money Act, you have an objection to terminating or reversing payments.

2.4 Changes

Snowminds ApS can be contacted if you want to change something in your order. All changes must be confirmed in writing by Snowminds ApS to be valid. If a change is made earlier than 60 days before departure for travel to destinations within the EU and 90 days before departure for travel to destinations outside the EU a change fee of 110 Euros per person will be charged + the cost of the additional expenses that the change will incur. If you wish to change to a trip that is cheaper than the original trip, no refund will be made. If you want to make changes later than 60 days before departure for a trip inside the EU, or 90 days for a trip outside the EU, this is considered a cancellation, after which a new booking can be made.

Regarding changes for flight tickets. If you have purchased a flight ticket through Snowminds ApS and want to change it, no matter when the change is made there will always be a change fee. The change fee consists of 110 Euros + fees from the airline and any additional fee for the air ticket.

Snowminds ApS has the right to change or cancel the journey on the following terms: If Snowminds ApS decides before departure that the scheduled trip requires an adjustment, the buyer must be informed as soon as possible. The same applies if, before departure, it appears that Snowminds ApS will not be able to deliver the agreed services or that the services will be of lesser quality than agreed. In the event that Snowminds ApS cancels the trip without that being due to the buyer’s own circumstances, you have the right to terminate your travel agreement and to refund all amounts paid.

2.5 Cancellation

For travel within the EU:

In case of cancellation no later than 60 days before the agreed travel date, the amount paid by the customer is refunded, minus the amount corresponding to the deposit and, if applicable, cancellation insurance and other fees.

If canceled later than 60 days before and no later than 21 days before the agreed date of travel, Snowminds ApS has the right to calculate 80% of the price of the trip, including minimum deposit and, if applicable, cancellation insurance and other fees.

If canceled later than 21 days before the date of departure stated on the travel document, the buyer’s right to any refund will lapse. This also applies to, for example, for late attendance or by no-show without cancellation. Deferral or late attendance is considered a cancellation of the entire journey, with which the remainder of the journey can not be redeemed.

In case of cancellation of scheduled airline flights, where Snowminds ApS cannot fully or partially refund the airline ticket, Snowminds ApS has the right to calculate what corresponds to the price of the flight, as well as the deposit and any fees paid.

For travel to non-EU countries:

If canceled within 90 days before the agreed travel date, the amount paid by the customer will be refunded, minus an amount corresponding to the deposit and, if applicable, cancellation insurance and other fees.

If canceled later than 90 days before and no later than 21 days before the agreed date of travel, Snowminds ApS has the right to calculate 80% of the price of the trip, including minimum deposit and, if applicable, cancellation insurance and other fees.

If canceled later than 21 days before the date of departure stated on the travel document, the buyer’s right to any refund will lapse. This also applies to, for example, for late attendance or by no-show without cancellation. 2.6 Insurance

It is a requirement that you are covered by travel insurance when traveling with Snowminds ApS. As a customer, you have the responsibility to ensure that you are covered by travel insurance while traveling, thus meeting the requirement. Snowminds ApS can at no time be held liable for personal injury, property damage, death, injury to others, or any other form of damage or loss that may arise in connection with the settlement of the journey.

Cancellation:

When purchasing a trip at Snowminds ApS, you can sign a cancellation insurance, which is subscribed via European A / S. The cancellation insurance of 6% of the travel price protects the traveler from loss of illness. Cancellation insurance is valid as insurance in case of severe acute illness, accident, or death occurring after ordering, which affects the travel participant himself, spouse, children, parents, siblings, or proven cohabiting partner. In such cases, the full amount of the trip will be refunded, but not the cancellation guarantee and expenses for a medical certificate.

This rule requires that the cancellation is made before the departure date and that a doctor’s certificate is sent without undue delay. European A / S reserves the right at its own expense to check the presence of the alleged disease through its own doctor. Note that already known diseases at the time of booking are not covered.

Travel Insurance:

When traveling with Snowminds, it is a requirement that you have travel insurance covering you throughout your trip. That’s how we know you’re safe! Snowminds ApS points out that skiing is a dangerous sport and skiing trips are not always covered by general travel insurance. Therefore, please contact your insurance company to ensure that you are adequately covered.

2.7 Transport and luggage

Transportation is by car, bus, plane, or train. The exact times can be found on the travel document or by e-mail before departure.

For the sake of space and safety, the number of suitcases listed on the travel document must be carried out during transport. Luggage will also be rejected. If you are traveling by bus, make sure that the luggage comes with the bus. If you are traveling by air, follow the guidelines issued by the airline.

Snowminds ApS can not be held responsible for lost or damaged luggage during transportation. Snowminds ApS is in no way responsible for transportation and possibly. lost travel that the customer himself stands for.

2.8 Accommodation and Catering

On arrival at the destination, a hotel room/apartment is available during the afternoon depending on the destination. At quarter pension is the first dinner in the morning the day after arrival. Half board and full board is the first evening meal on the day of arrival. By quarter pension, half board and full board is the last dinner in the morning on the day of departure.

Upon departure, the hotel room/apartment must be vacated in the morning on the day of departure. You will be informed of the precise time before the end of your stay (most likely at check-in) at your accommodation.

2.9 Weather and Snow Conditions

Given the unpredictability of weather, Snowminds cannot be held responsible for snow conditions at your destination resort. We strive to be as upfront as possible and give you a reasonable expectation of what to expect based on both our experience and the conditions in recent years. However, the past does not predict the future. As such, Snowminds is therefore not liable for any disruptions, inconvenience, or disappointment that may result from less-than-optimal snow conditions.

2.10 Your Responsibility

You are required to comply with guidelines issued by Snowminds ApS and their representatives. You are obliged to meet at your place of departure and at the time of departure and to comply with all the rules and regulations issued by Snowminds ApS or their partners such as bus companies, hotels, educational institutions, or the like. If you do not meet these obligations, Snowminds ApS reserves the right to charge the total price, as well as to exclude the participant from the journey, after which the travel participant may make a stay and return on his own behalf.

As already mentioned, participation in the current trip requires that you know the information provided, including information from travel documents, travel plans, and, if applicable, Practical information about travel. At the same time, you are expected to be aware of publicly available information about the current political, health, and natural and climate situation at the destination.

You are responsible for having a valid passport, visa, and any vaccinations in place before departure. Information beyond what is provided by Snowminds ApS is available at the Embassy or Consulate of the country concerned and at the Serum Institute. You are responsible for all expenses due to issues in the above formalities, such as home transport due to missing passports. You are also responsible for any consequences of illness, accident, and the like during the journey, and it is the responsibility of the traveler to incur expenses for medical care, hospital stays, especially home transport, etc.

You are responsible for the fact that both your own person and luggage are suitable for air or bus transportation. Participation in events takes place at your own risk.

You are required to be outgoing prior to departure and clarify if necessary. doubts regarding the journey. If you consider anything unclear in the conditions before departure, you are bound to contact Snowminds ApS in order to secure a written statement.

2.11 Commitment of Snowminds APS

Snowminds ApS is required to complete the journey in accordance with the travel document and the website. However, Snowminds ApS may change the information on the website before the travel agreement is concluded if the buyer is clearly informed of the changes before the conclusion of the travel agreement.

If you have made any special agreements with Snowminds ApS, that differ from the terms stated on the website, these are only valid if they are affixed to the travel document or otherwise clearly documented.

Snowminds ApS can not be held liable if the trip or part of the trip can not be carried out or utilized due to outside circumstances such as force majeure situations, weather conditions or the like that Snowminds ApS could not have predicted or which is outside Snowminds ApS ‘control. If the question is about a job or education as part of the journey, this is regulated under the “Extended Terms and Conditions” below.

Nor is it considered to be a lack of travel that weather and temperature conditions at the place of destination differ from the usual, just as conditions that are mainly due to the traveler’s own negligence are not considered a lack of travel. Snowminds ApS can not be held liable for the trip not being completed or not meeting expectations as a result of eg closed ski area due to too little or too much snow, wind, avalanche, or similar.

Ski and snowboarding is a dangerous sport. All skiing and snowboarding runs at your own risk. Snowminds ApS can not be held responsible for any damage that occurs while skiing or snowboarding, or other activities on the mountain.

2.12 Responsibility of Airlines

Transport by air is subject to the provisions of the Warsaw Convention of 1929, with subsequent amendments and additions. In the case of passenger transport performed by a Danish air carrier, liability for personal injury is limited to the limit of liability laid down in the Aviation Act. This currently represents about kr 800,000 pr. passenger and approx. DKK 150 per kg. registered luggage.

In case of lost or damaged baggage during air transport, the airline representative must be immediately advertised. Complaints must be submitted in writing and within 7 days of receipt of damaged goods. In case of loss or delay, a period of 21 days applies.

2.13 Complaints

Should there be any mistake or missing in the journey, this must be communicated to Snowminds ApS Travel Manager on the spot within a reasonable time after the traveler has discovered the defect. The customer should contact Snowminds ApS’s representative on the journey, write to [email protected] or call +44 113 320 8847. Snowminds ApS must, according to the package holidays, have the opportunity to correct the error at the destination. Failure to do so will normally result in loss of the right to claim compensation later. If possible Errors and deficiencies can not be rectified at the destination, the customer must contact Snowminds ApS in writing at [email protected] on return, but no later than 2 weeks.

2.14 Reservations for printing errors

Snowminds ApS is subject to printing errors in the catalog, travel receipt, website, and all other media where Snowminds ApS products are marketed. Snowminds can not be held responsible for the content of other websites that Snowminds ApS relates to or tells about.

3. EXTENDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Snowminds ApS ‘”Extended Terms and Conditions” must be read and accepted in accordance with Snowminds ApS’ “Terms and Conditions”. Snowminds ApS ‘”Extended Terms and Conditions” will enter into force if you have booked a trip where associated employment, placement, and/or education are part of the package.

3.1 Application and order

For any trip that includes associated job placement, Snowminds ApS reserves the right to provide the traveler with a final confirmation once the recruitment process is completed. Should it happen that the Snowminds ApS will not provide a spot to the traveler after this recruitment process, the traveler will receive a full refund for the trip.

3.2 Ski school placement

Snowminds ApS arranges job placement with a ski school abroad. If your trip has a job placement included this means that we set you up with a local ski school abroad. The ski school will define the scope of job placement and work opportunities at the ski school. Job placement conditions such as working hours, remuneration, housing, lift passes and insurance conditions can vary from ski school to ski school, and is only a relationship between you as an instructor and the ski school. Snowminds ApS is thus not an employer and can not guarantee any work or a fixed number of hours at the ski school or be held liable for failure to meet expectations in relation to, for example, working hours, placement hours, shadowing hours,  remuneration or other matters related to the job placement.

Should it happen that you do not complete the instructor training, Snowminds ApS is not required to offer you job placement at a ski school. You must account and accept responsibility for all costs that may arise as a result of the fact that you do not complete the instructor training.

3.3 Transport

All transport before, during, and after your work abroad, is planned for your own account and is not included in the price unless specifically mentioned in the travel notice.

3.4 Ski equipment and clothing

In the instructor training, you will need to wear ski equipment and ski equipment. Once you get to work at your ski school, you will be provided with a ski uniform that you will teach. Ski equipment – skiing, snowboarding, helmet, backbone – bring your own.

3.5 Practical conditions at the destination

Employment conditions and questions for this are only a matter between you as an instructor and the ski school. Snowminds ApS tries to disclose guidelines issued by the ski school in the best way, but can not be held responsible.

The salary is individual from ski school to ski school, and you agree on pay and working conditions directly with the ski school. Ski schools provide accommodation available at the destination. Housing conditions vary from ski school to ski school. At some ski schools, the accommodation, lift pass, and uniform are included as a fixed part of the salary, while elsewhere must pay an amount for this. If you have questions about the exact pay and housing conditions, please contact your ski school/employer.

If Snowminds buys a season ticket for your destination, as part of your course, such as a Salzburger Super Ski Card, the ski school’s normal lift card license will lapse, as the ski school and Snowminds will jointly finance your ski pass.

3.6 Insurance

It is your responsibility to investigate and purchase the necessary insurance policies in connection with your trip. To be fully covered, we recommend that you consult with your insurance company.

For example, keep in mind the following conditions:

  • Ski and Snowboarding is a dangerous sport that does not always fall under regular travel insurance
  • Ski and snowboard training is usually not covered by ordinary travel insurance.
  • As an employee abroad, your stay may vary from 14 days to 6 months. The stay is therefore significantly longer than regular travel.
  • It is a requirement for participation in Snowminds ApS travel to have comprehensive travel insurance.

3.7 Skills training

The instructor training is organized in cooperation with various instructors’ associations, including the Salzburger Berufsschilehrer und Snowboardlehrer Verband (SBSSV), the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI), and the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA). During the course, you will receive practical and theoretical teaching in English or German. Regardless of the connection, it is a goal of the education that you will be officially certified instructor after passing the course and be ready to teach beginners and more experienced skiers and/or snowboarders after passing the education.

Snowminds ApS can not be held liable for errors, complaints, and complaints in connection with the actual completion of the instructional training. These can only be directed against and sought to be reimbursed by the relevant association.

3.8 Your responsibility

It is your own responsibility to be well-prepared for the instructor training and to have an adequate language and level of skill. Snowminds ApS can not in any way be held liable for unsuccessful training and consequently loss of job opportunity.

3.9 Commitment of Snowminds Aps

Snowminds ApS helps you to become a ski and/or snowboard instructor and to find an employer abroad. This means that you are not employed by Snowminds ApS, but that Snowminds ApS conveys the contact between you who wish to become a ski and/or snowboard instructor, ski instructor, and ski school.

Snowminds ApS thus has no responsibility as an employer. It also means that all responsibility that Snowminds ApS may have for the individual instructor or his season ends after graduation. Snowminds ApS can not be held liable if your work or part of your work permit can not be carried out or utilized due to outside circumstances such as lack of snow, guests, bankruptcy, failing sales activities, or other conditions affecting the ski school as Snowminds ApS with due care could not have predicted and lies outside Snowminds ApS’s control.

Discrepancies, unexpected expectations, and/or disputes are solely a relationship between you, the teacher training, and/or the school in question. Snowminds ApS can not be held responsible for these situations and their consequences, but will always be able to contact and assist with guidance on any issues.
