You go to Australia to experience something different. As an instructor in the land Down Under, tropical paradise is quickly turning into snowy mountain peaks. The popular beaches, the vast desert wilderness areas and wild kangaroos are disappearing soon after you experience skiing in Australia for the first time. Against that background, we are super stoked to assist experienced instructors with the prefect combo: Snow + Surf = The Good Life In Australia.

The Ski Instructor Life in Australia

When we have a summer back home in the northern hemisphere, Australians find skiing and snowboarding in the mountainous Kosciuszko National Park, which is well located between Sydney and Melbourne. Here, we partner with the best resorts Australia has to offer, ensuring our ski instructors an experience from late June to late August – or longer – if the season permits. It is a unique experience that only a few people have on their CV.

Subsequently you can choose to travel around Australia and for example. go surfing or travel along the coast. The possibilities are endless, and we help you through your entire journey, allowing you to fly home with an experience in your luggage that will stand as one of the most memorable experiences of your life.

WHAT DO YOU GET FROM SNOWMINDS?

The following are included and part of the experience:

* The budget for accommodation will be agreed with the ski school and announced before the trip. Rent is not part of the price. 

WHO CAN APPLY?

Here at Snowminds, we take pride in choosing the right people to become part of our team of experienced ski and snowboard instructors. We are renowned amongst the ski schools for educating and recruiting competent, energetic and top motivated ski- and snowboard instructors.

What we expect from you:

• You have completed a course with Snowminds previously or have minimum a level 1 instructor certification (i.e. CSIA, NZSIA, Anwärter or similar)
• Minimum one season of teaching experience*
• You are positive, outgoing and adventurous
• You are serious, responsible and top motivated
• You are good with kids, teens, and adults
• You enjoy teaching and love being challenged
• You speak English at a conversational level
• Have a minimum level 1 instructor certification (i.e. CSIA, NZSIA, Anwärter or similar) preferably with teaching experience
• You are eligible to apply for an Australian Working Holiday Visa

Once you have submitted your application we will call you for an interview where we will evaluate your candidacy. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to hear more about an experience as a ski instructor in Australia. If you get a place on the team, the last step will be a skype conversation with our partner school in Australia.

There is great interest in this experience and therefore available positions fill-up quickly. Generally, we operate on a “first come – first served” principle.
