A High Season Job in Andorra as a Certified Ski Instructor

Andorra might be small on the map, but when you’re up in the Pyrenees, it feels limitless. With over 200 km of slopes and peaks above 2,500 meters, the Grandvalira ski area offers some of Europe’s best skiing – all surrounded by sunshine, beautiful mountain views, and a lively mix of French and Spanish culture.

As a certified ski instructor, you’ll step right into a professional and international environment with more than 400 instructors from around the world. The high-season period in February is the perfect opportunity to experience Andorra’s ski life – intense, rewarding, and full of energy. You’ll gain international experience, meet incredible people, and enjoy a professional working adventure you’ll never forget.

This experience is for you if you’re already a certified and experienced ski instructor who’s ready for a new adventure in the Pyrenees. We’ll help you organize your high season job and find a great position at one of Andorra’s professional ski schools. Our team supports you every step of the way – from job placement and accommodation to lift pass arrangements and practical guidance before you arrive.

The travel includes:

A high-season job placement at a local ski school in Grandvalira, Andorra
9 nights in 3-star hotel including half board
Lift pass during your stay (8 days)

Who can apply?

Here at Snowminds, we take pride in choosing the right people to become part of our team of experienced ski and snowboard instructors. We are renowned amongst the ski schools for educating and recruiting competent, energetic and top motivated ski- and snowboard instructors.

What we expect from you:

You have minimum a level 2 instructor certification (i.e. CSIA level 2 extended, BASI level 2, NZSIA level 2, APSI level 2)
Some teaching experience
You are serious, responsible and have a positive mindset
You enjoy working with people of all ages, and love being challenged
You are fluent in English (French and/or Spanish is an advantage)
You are minimum 18 years old

Please note – it is possible to work in Andorra for most nationalities, both with or without an EU passport.

When you have submitted your application we will invite you to an interview, here we will advise you about your opportunities and evaluate whether or not we can offer you a spot on the team. Should you be among the lucky ones, the next step will be a personal job interview with our partner ski school.

There is great interest in this experience and therefore available positions fill-up quickly. Therefore, we operate on a “first come – first served” principle, where we have an application deadline every month. Key Details About the Course

JOB EXPECTATIONS

As your prospective employer, the ski school, not Snowminds, independently sets your work schedule, compensation, and other employment conditions. Consequently, your employment relationship is direct with the ski school, and we can’t guarantee specific conditions such as a minimum number of work hours. However, should you have any queries or concerns, we are always available to provide assistance.

For February 2026, the dates will be:

Arrival Friday, 13th of February and departure Sunday, 22nd of February, 2026

Accommodation

You will stay in a comfortable 3-star hotel for 9 nights, including half board. This means you can enjoy daily breakfast and dinner, giving you a reliable and relaxing home base throughout your time in Andorra. Rooms are shared with other Snowminders, creating a social and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is selected for its convenient location, supportive facilities, and easy access to the ski area, ensuring you have everything you need before and after your days on the mountain.

Working permit

To stay and work in Andorra for the winter season, you need a seasonal work permit. This applies to all nationalities – including EU, EFTA, and British citizens. While Andorra is not part of the EU, it has agreements in place that make it possible for foreigners to live and work in the country during the ski season.

Once you’ve secured a job with a ski school, your employer will assist you with the work permit process. The permit type may vary depending on your nationality and contract, but you’ll be guided through the steps to make sure everything is handled properly.

Salary expectations

You will be provided with an official work contract, either before arrival or upon reaching your destination. Be sure to read it carefully and ask any questions.

Wages vary, but as a Level 2 instructor, you can expect to earn around €20-25 per hour, with additional income from tips and private lessons.

Let’s be clear – you won’t get rich as an instructor. There may also be opportunities for extra work in other resort departments, such as lift operations, guest services, or activities during the winter season.
