Ski Area

Have you ever tried a ski holiday where you get outstanding skiing conditions without having to queue for ages?

At Sun Peaks you get the unique opportunity to experience three different mountain peaks. Each has its own distinctive features and levels of difficulty, all of which you can easily access from the city. In Sun Peaks you will have access to over 135 marked slopes. Due to the location in the heart of British Columbia, you will experience the dry, powdery, dusty snow these mountains are known for. Despite the size of the area, you will rarely experience many skiers on the slopes, allowing you to find fresh snow every day.

Sun Peaks guarantees 6-meters of annual snowfall. If you are looking for an off-piste ski holiday in Canada, and love to dive into the dry powder, then you will find the best runs at the top of the Burfield and Crystal lifts. This terrain is primarily for advanced skiers and snowboarders, but the experts will also be able to find challenging terrain on Mount Tod in particular. If you love showing off your goggle tan after your ski holiday, Sun Peaks has your back with an average of over 2000 hours of sunshine a year.

A ski school that exceeds all expectations!

The ski school at Sun Peaks is highly sought after by ski instructors. Therefore, only the best are able to get a job here. This ensures that you can expect a high level of service, well-educated, and extremely passionate ski instructors. Many of these instructors return year after year which makes them extremely knowledgeable of the entire area. Despite the terrain asking for more advanced skiers, beginners will also have great opportunities with dedicated areas only for beginners. Here you can expect to be taken under the wings of one of the many skilled instructors. Then you and the family will quickly improve your skill level.

European alpine village in the heart of British Columbia.

We can characterise Sun Peaks Resort by its top-notch skiing and cosiness. Despite being a small town, Sun Peaks has a good selection of restaurants. They offer everything from the city’s best pizzas at Bella Italia, to a classic steak and ribs dinner at the famous Steakhouse at Sun Peaks Lodge.

If you are looking for entertainment after a day on the slopes, pass by Bottoms Bar + Grill! It is located in Coast Sundance Lodge. This classic pub holds a delicious selection of quality beers and is the most lively place in town for a good aprés ski.  If you are looking for a less crowded aprés ski activity for the entire family, we highly recommend an unforgettable dog sledging tour through the fantastic nature Sun Peaks hold.
