The resort is uniquely located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, which makes it a one of a kind ski resort in Canada. On average, 10,5 meters of snowfall in Mount Washington each year, which makes it one of the largest in North America. The area offers you the opportunity to explore 7 square kilometers of untouched terrain with 505 vertical meters. Your lift pass gives you access to 81 slopes, divided into 14% green slopes, 35% blue slopes and 51% black slopes for the more adventurous skier. Explore all this and more when you ski in Mt. Ski School

The ski school teaches skiers and snowboarders of all levels and ages, which makes it an ideal ski vacation destination for families. Whether you require group lessons, private lessons or park training, a full day of training can be booked with Discover Snow School. Everybody can ski in Mt. Washington.

It’s not always easy to know which equipment is necessary during a ski vacation in Mount Washington, which is why the resort offers rental equipment. It is possible to rent ski- and snowboard equipment, making you fully prepared for lessons, self-riding and freeride.

Active relaxation

After a long day on the hill, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to start relaxing back home in the lodge. Mount Washington offers endless activities once the lifts have closed. The classic Tube Park offers a long and steep downhill run, throwing you from side to side the entire ride. It’s also possible to rent sledges, fat bikes and enjoy a long walk in snowshoes. If you’re up for it, you can make your way across a 55km cross-country skiing route together with a guide or travel buddy.

In case you’re in for a celebration, why not enjoy some traditional Canadian specialities at one of Mount Washington’s numerous live music bars or cafes. You will be served a cold pint of beer and signature cocktails in a cosy and traditional Canadian atmosphere. During the weekend, the music will be turned up and together with friends and family, you can sing karaoke and take over the dance floor with hot tunes from the DJ.
