Cypress Mountain

Endless slopes and big city life

Cypress Mountain gives you the best panoramic view of Vancouver you can get!

Not many ski resorts can brag about having a panoramic view of the famous metropolis, but this is just one of the unique features of Cypress Mountain. Another unique feature is that Cypress Mountain has been a host for the Winter Olympics. In 2010 Cypress was the co-host of the 2010 Winter Olympics together with Whistler Blackcomb.

The ski area in Cypress Mountain

Cypress Mountain, consisting of Mount Strachan, Black Mountain, and Hollyburn Mountain, offer a combined 2.4 square kilometre of the ski area to explore. Six chairlifts take you to 53 different slopes and as a result of organizing the Winter Olympics in 2010, there are 4 parks where you can work on your freestyle technique.

The resort has a conveyor belt in the beginner area, making it more child-friendly and accessible for the new skiers too. If you are a more advanced skier, it is the many tree areas and parks that can offer you enough challenge.

Lessons focused on personalised education

The ski school in Cypress Mountain offers half-day and full-day lessons for all ages and levels.

With private lessons, you are assured of the most personal and educational experience possible.

Group lessons are also very personal because the group will consist of no more than 6-8 participants

Cypress Mountain village

Like most Canadian ski resorts, Cypress Mountain Resort also offers a tube park where the last energy of the day can be used. In the evening you can enjoy one of the many outdoor hot tubs with one of the many local refreshments.

If you want to try other winter sports, you can explore the 10 km long snowshoe trail, or Cypress Mountain also has 19 km of cross-country trails that you can try with an instructor or together with your travelling companions.

The Canadian apres-ski scene is different from what we know from the Alps where dancing on tables with your ski shoes is sometimes the usual. Just steps away from Vancouver, Cypress Mountain Resort offers the opportunity to explore Downtown Vancouver on a day or night after skiing. A visit to the mountain ‘The Cypress Grill’ also guarantees a typical Canadian experience.
