Off-piste Camp is for those who need new challenges and want to learn more about equipment and technique off-piste. If you have a stable ski or snowboard level and are able to ski safely down both red and black slopes, then this is for you.
You can ALWAYS improve and we will be working towards great experiences in the Off-piste ski camp. It’s a very different experience, but you enjoy it a lot more and it’s not as tough with the right technique.
The camp is for experienced skiers and guides, who seek to challenge themselves on the off-piste with quality training and a great sense of taking technique from the slopes and combining it with new skills, to go off-piste.
The teaching will be based on your current level and will typically be in the forest, the open backcountry runs, steep couloirs, and so on. It will be based on what’s the safest on the day, which is a big part of going off-piste – knowing how wind and weather affect the mountain.
NB! Please note that you must bring your own avalanche equipment.
During the course of one, two or three weeks, our experienced Snowminds off-piste instructors will take your ski level to great, new lengths. You will be placed in a group of fellow skiers and our instructors will base the training on your current ski level. From there on, a lot of intense (and fun 😉) work will be put into your training, together with a strong focus on your technique. You will be skiing every day and each day you will gain a bigger influence on which aspects of off-piste you would like to improve. In the end you will have built up a solid foundation that you can continue to improve in the future.
No matter which course length you choose, we guarantee “the full Snowminds experience”. Our team – each one an experienced ski instructor – will take care of all practicalities, so the only thing you need to focus on is to ski and have fun!
NB! By participating in the camp, you will automatically be qualified to join one of our instructor courses, should you be interested. We will guide you through your options when you book through Snowminds.
When you’re traveling with Snowminds we take care of all the practical work connected to your travels, so you just need to pack your bags and look forward to a great trip.
