A winter season in Canada 

Canada is one of the places that people rush too, in order to live out their lifelong powder dreams. When you go on a season to Canada, you get the opportunity to experience a  unique culture as well as mountains that you wont find anywhere else in the world.

The mountains can be explored by ski, snowboard, snow scooter, snow shoes or with a helicopter and it’s often with the locals leading the way. Their main focus is to give you a give experience, whether its daily training, pancake breakfast or a weekly Karaoke night. Yeap, Canada is amazing and we guarantee that you will go home after winter feeling like you are leaving a new family and a magical place.

The season typically goes from November to April, afterwards you have the opportunity to travel around Canada and USA,  or even go together with some other Snowminds instructors and join our legendary end of season trip in Hawaii or something completely different. The possibilities are endless and our experienced staff help you create a trip that makes sure that you get the absolute best out of your winter season with Snowminds in Canada.



This experience is for you who is already a certified ski and/or snowboard instructor and ideally has teaching experience. We arrange your whole winter season and help you find a job in a Canadian ski school, accommodation, lift card, visa, bank and anything else you might need. We can also help you order flights and other transportation, arrange further education in your season or guide you through the opportunities for traveling around after your season.  

This trip includes:

  • A winter season as an instructor with job at a local Canadian ski school
  • Arranged accommodation, lift card and uniform during your season*
  • A salary of approx. 10-13 CAD an hour + additional bonuses after your qualification
  • Work insurance and minimum 1 day off a week* 
  • Help with visa application, choosing insurances and all other practicalities

What we expect from you:

  • You have completed a course with Snowminds previously
  • You are positive, outgoing and adventurous
  • You are serious, responsible and top motivated
  • You are good with kids, teens, and adults
  • You enjoy teaching and love being challenged  
  • You speak English at a conversational level
  • Have a minimum level 1 instructor certification (i.e. CSIA, NZSIA, Anwärter or similar) preferably with teaching experience
  • You are eligible to apply for Canadian Working Holiday Visa


When you have submitted your application we will invite you to an interview, here we will advise you about your opportunities and evaluate whether or not we can offer you a spot on the team. Should you be among the lucky ones, the next step will be a personal job interview with our partner ski school.

There is great interest in this experience and therefore available positions fill-up quickly. Therefore, we operate on a “first come – first served” principle, where we have an application deadline every month. This means the earlier you apply, the greater your chances are to join the team and get a job at your dream destination.
