If you can’t get enough snowboarding and want to challenge yourself as an instructor even more, then luckily we have a solution for you. Snowminds is excited to offer you a 2-week Landes 1 camp and open the door for exciting future job opportunities as a highly-competent instructor around the world.
With this 2 week Level 2 snowboard instructor training course in April, our most experienced Snowminds coaches will focus on improving your more intermediate to advanced-level skills on the slopes, moguls, fun parks, and the deep powder. In other words, this course is designed to build upon on the technical level you will have already achieved after completing your Level 1 course (i.e. Anwärter) and the experience you have gained over a season as an instructor.
With Level 2 certification in hand, you will be permitted to teach a greater range of students and also take guests out into the off-piste. This achievement opens the door to super cool job opportunities as a more advanced snowboard instructor at destinations around the world. Of course, our Snowminds team is happy to help make that possible and help you continue living the dream!

Training Course Housing
You will live in a 3-star hotel (sometimes better) with Wifi and all the basic necessities. You can expect to live with 2-5 people per room or apartment. While this may not sound fancy, that’s “mountain luxury” for you.
At Snowminds, “we take care of our own”. That’s why we specifically only work with hotels that make healthy and nutritious food. Breakfast typically consists of a large, nutritious buffet. Dinner will either be a 3-course meal or a buffet with soup, salad, main course and dessert.
If you take the course in April you maybe already have a liftpass for Salzburger Super Skicard. This can be used on all resorts in Salzburgerland inclued Kitzsteinhorn gletcheren, were the course will be placed. In this case you do not need to buy an extra lift pass.
If you do not have your own lift pass, you can purchase a 2 week lift pass which will be delivered on arrival.
To ensure all our instructors receive the highest quality education, we work together with the Salzburger Berufskilehrer & Snowboardlehrer Verband (SBSSV), one of the world’s most recognized ski instructor organizations.
The Landes with SBSSV consists of 2 parts, of which this Snowminds course prepares you and contains the 1st part called “landeslehrer”. The course will build on your Anwärter and focus primarily on more performance-based boarding such as off-piste and freestyle.
After the Level 2 (Landes) course you have the opportunity to take the Alpine Course.
The Landes education is one of the most recognized in the world. By passing your Landes, your certificate of excellence will not only be valuable on your CV, but can also be used for other Snowminds destinations around the world.
In addition to the 2-Week Snowminds Reunion Camp in Kaprun, we also hold reunion parties after the season ends. This is typically done in May, after the final instructors have returned home and before many may decide to go with us for another adventure to Africa, Argentina or Australia.
Like other team events, the Snowminds Reunion Party is completely voluntary. We see it as an opportunity to meet old friends, catch-up and share stories from your ski season.
Since 2012 we have helped train and find jobs for more than 1500 ski and snowboard instructors.
Everyone is part of the Snowminds Alumni network, which we have created to offer all our instructors a community with many benefits. For example, we arrange annual tours, such as skiing, surfing, team activities and events, and reunion parties, where our instructors get the chance to network and enjoy themselves. We do these things because we care and hope it benefits you.
