Become a ski instructor in La Tzoumaz

Shadow, work and train on our level 1 and 2 instructor internship in the Swiss Alps

Become a ski instructor in La Tzoumaz

If there is one place that is recognized for its magical mountains and skiing culture, it would be Switzerland. It’s no coincidence that skiers from all over the world have this unique Alp country on the top of their bucket list and now you have the chance to make this your winter-wonderland on a full season in La Tzoumaz!

We are proud to present a unique winter season, where you combine shadowing, potential work and play throughout the entire season on our English spoken level 1 and 2 ski instructor internship in La Tzoumaz. You will have direct access to the heart of the world-renowned 4 Vallées ski resort, one of Switzerland’s biggest ski resorts and you can ski the long piste from La Tzoumaz to Verbier.

La Tzoumaz is well known as a family resort, which creates a great season with a lot of job opportunities and experience after courses.  It combines some of the best skiing in the world, with a lively village and great nightlife. It’s an international vibe with great events throughout the whole season!

From the beginning of December and onwards, you will participate in our level 1 and 2, fully English, instructor internship, which is designed to prepare you for work as an instructor in a ski school in Switzerland.

You will get chalet accommodation for 5 months in La Tzoumaz, a seasonal lift pass, 150 hours of on-snow ski training (!) and the international English-language BASI level 1+2 education. Once you have finished and passed the program, you can call yourself an official Level 2 BASI ski instructor. In addition, you will be working with a local ski school, where you get the opportunity to shadow an instructor and work dependent on business levels. Basic language skills in French, German and or Dutch will be very helpful to open more opportunities for work during the high season.

In short, we got your season covered, with many training hours, a season lift ticket, shadow and/ or work opportunities, and paid accommodation, so you can shred until the end of April!

For good reason, Switzerland is one of the most desired ski destinations for both new and experienced ski instructors. The Swiss Alps offer some of the best skiing in the world, both on the slope, and off-piste. This is specifically evident in the 4 Vallées ski resort, which is known for its amazing off-piste terrain and sunsets!

As Switzerland is highly sought after and receives a significant amount of wealthy clients it’s one of the best places to learn from experienced instructors and kick start your ski instructor career. As a newly certified instructor, you typically receive between 20-27 CHF an hour, which is significantly higher than elsewhere. If you plan to make a career out of skiing this is the place to be.

During the season, you will be accommodated with fellow Snowminders in a shared apartment with kitchen facilities in La Tzoumaz or the surrounding towns. La Tzoumaz is one of most visited villages in Switzerland with a great ski instructor community. The instructors typically meet up at a few local spots in the resort and on days off there are often a few of them exploring the resort together.

We’ve created a holistic winter experience from December to April, where you will become a certified ski instructor with the ability to work at Ecole Suisse de Ski in La Tzoumaz.
