Tomamu has the ideal location for those who can’t get too much snow. Hokkaido Island is known for its massive snowfall and Tomamu receives an average of 14m of snow annually. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste the Japanese powder during your season once you become a ski instructor in Tomamu. In addition to phenomenal skiing, the resort offers a wealth of cultural and culinary experiences. As something unique to this area, they build an “Ice Village” each winter – a small village full of activities and a must-see!


Working at Club Med Tomamu is a unique experience in that you will be a part of the GO team, which involves a great deal of interaction with the guest and can take the customer relationship to a new level. You will most likely be a part of one of the evening shows. So if you have a hidden talent for performing on a stage, Tomamu is the perfect destination for you.

As well the social experiences, the food at Tomamu is among the greatest of any ski resort, with a restaurant with 4-5 star standards you are for sure in for a treat, as a bonus all meals are included in your stay. On your nights off you can experience the neighboring resort Hosino where they offer a wide range of different food experiences as well as the local ramen restaurant in the city of Tomamu.  If you need a break from the snow or city, take a stroll in Mina Mina Beach, Japan’s largest indoor beach.


The Tomamu ski area has slopes for all levels. Here, 48% of the area is for beginners, 38% for experienced, and 14% for experts and of course amazing tree-skiing and off-pist possibilities. It not only gives you good conditions to teach but also when you stay free and want to explore the area. You can look forward to becoming part of an international ski school community. In the ski school, there is a great chance for teaching both kids and adults, and the possibility to teach at different levels. The ski school at Club Med Tomamu is busy, therefore getting enough hours is not a problem, you can look forward to be working 6 days a week which means you will earn a great salary.
