GALA Yuzawa is one of a kind. It’s the only ski and snowboard resort in Japan that is connected directly to the Shinkansen bullet train network. This means you can literally take a 75 minute, high-speed bullet train from downtown Tokyo and get off in the the ski resort lobby without any stress, making it one of the most easily accessible resorts in the world. GALA consists of 4 main ski areas with a good distribution of terrain: 35% beginner slopes, 45% intermediate slopes and 20% advanced slopes. With a relatively high altitude of 1181 meters, GALA enjoys a long season and some of the best snow conditions in the region.
Gala Yuzawa Snow School consists of about 30 instructors, a size which helps create a super cozy working environment. The ski and snowboard instructors are divided into various department, with Snowminds instructors working in the English-speaking customers. Despite the labor division, it’s one family. Whether you take our 3 Week Ski Instructor Course or our 3 Week Snowboard Instructor course, you can expect to be in very good hands and fully-integrated within the ski school.
