With eight different restaurants on the mountain serving local specialties like wild poutine, moose burger and goat cheese bison meatballs, you should get all the super fuel needed to drive your skiing day-in and day-out. Just remember to ski off the fat! So start your adventure and become a ski instructor in kicking horse!
As a mountain resort, Kicking Horse is a playground with something for everyone. Nowhere else can you ride a single gondola right to the summit, providing stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding national parks, together with easy access to alpine ridges and bowls. It’s a sweet setup that sets Kicking Horse apart.
Kicking Horse Village is a small town, but is growing fast due to its attractive skiing conditions. For entertainment after a full-day on the mountain, you can take a 15 minute car or bus ride to Golden, the nearest city. Kicking Horse is also located 3 hours from Calgary, only 90 km west of Banff National Park and a two hours drive from Revelstoke ski resort. It’s all yours for the taking once you become a ski instructor in kicking horse! If you want to learn more about the life of a ski instructor, make sure to check out our instructor blogs!
