SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR SUMMER COURSE IN AUSTRIA

Opportunity to get your snowboard certification already in summer!

Summer Snowboarding Dream in Austria

Summer snowboarding offers unique contrasts: From the green and blooming valley, the gondola takes you up into the white dream. Enjoy your lunch break in the sunny deck chairs after shredding glacier slopes, returning after snowboarding, and quickly changing from your snowboard uniform into a swimsuit and jumping into the clear water of Lake Zell. Sounds pretty good right?

Besides enjoying the summer snowboarding experience, we offer you a short and affordable snowboard instructor education with the “bare essentials” you need to know for being a well-educated snowboard instructor. We will help to make sure you are thoroughly prepared to crush your Level 1 exam and achieve your dream of becoming a paid snowboard instructor in Austria. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to already have your snowboard instructor certification in summer before everyone else and being perfectly prepared for a season the next winter. If you are interested, we are more than happy to help you find a job at a skischool that fits best to you.

Recommendation: If you want more comprehensive training in the winter, check out our 5-week snowboard instructor course or the ultimate 11-week snowboard instructor course, where you will become Austrian-certified in both Level 1 and Level 2 over the course of your very first winter season.

Course program

Our instructor course begins in July and is designed to prepare you to effectively crush the Austrian “Anwärter” Level 1 instructor exam. Since you arrive one day earlier you have enough time to get ready and settle before starting the 9-day snowboard Anwärter education. Our Austrian examiner team will refine your technique in all the core aspects.

Throughout your course and during the preparation process, you will become a part of the Snowminds community, with a focus on educational events, team building activities, and whatever else our local team thinks is needed to shake people together and create the magic.

Recommendation: Check out our 5 Star Facebook reviews and learn more about Snowminds from our ski and snowboard instructors!

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Education

Our local trainers are certified to introduce you to the most essential exercises needed to master and subsequently pass the Level 1 course.

Each year, we see our instructor’s technique evolve quickly and through ongoing personalized feedback. Our number #1 goal is to make sure you are ready for your exam and to become a certified snowboard instructor for future seasons.

You will also participate in a few team activities that are meant to be enjoyed and hopefully create the strong Snowminds team bond we are known for.

Certification

To offer a high-quality education, we work together with the Salzburger Berufskilehrer & Snowboardlehrer Verband – one of the world’s most recognized instructor federation. This will not only look good on the CV but is also very useful if you decide to return with Snowminds for our other destinations around the world.

AFTER THE COURSE

What are your options after the course?

If you are interested in a season in Austria we would like to offer you our help by getting you in contact with an Austrian Ski School and secure you a job in the following winter season.

Employment details are arranged with the ski school. As a snowboard instructor, your job offer will likely be a high-season contract.

If you are looking for a longer winter season, we recommend to check out our ski and snowboard instructor course in November where you can get certified to teach both skiing and snowboarding.
