With over 120 slopes, highly challenging terrain and 8 meters of snow per season, Kicking Horse has all the key ingredients to challenge you all winter-long. Once your thigh muscles are strong like a horse, you will be ready to take the 10 km trip down from the Eagle Eye Restaurant to the base of the mountain. The resort is designed to help you challenge yourself all-season, with over 85 ski slopes of which 60% are black diamond runs or higher. With eight different restaurants on the mountain serving local specialties like wild poutine, moose burger and goat cheese bison meatballs, you should get all the super fuel needed to drive your skiing day-in and day-out. Just remember to ski off the fat!
As a mountain resort, Kicking Horse is a playground with something for everyone. Nowhere else can you ride a single gondola right to the summit, providing stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding national parks, together with easy access to alpine ridges and bowls. It’s a sweet setup that sets Kicking Horse apart.
Kicking Horse Village is a small town, but is growing fast due to its attractive skiing conditions. For entertainment after a full-day on the mountain, you can take a 15 minute car or bus ride to Golden, the nearest city. Kicking Horse is also located 3 hours from Calgary, only 90 km west of Banff National Park and a two hours drive from Revelstoke ski resort. It’s all yours for the taking.
