In 2010, Cypress also played host to the Freestyle Winter Olympics. In preparation the mountain was quickly transformed with an additional of 40 hectares of new terrain, a new high-speed chairlift, parking upgrades, terrain park and more. Overall, the terrain distribution is 15% beginner, 35% intermediate, 35% advanced, 8% expert and 7% freestyle.
