Become a ski instructor at Castle Mountain Resort

Created by skiers, for skiers

The Destination

Castle Mountain Resort isn’t run by accountants working for some mega-corporation. Since its reincarnation (back in 1996) it has been owned and operated by local skiers who are driven by adrenaline, not profit. At Castle, there is a palpable love for the Canadian champagne (dry) powder snow, challenging terrain, and community that makes it an ideal place for those who live to ski. Located 2.5 hours from Calgary in Sourthern Alberta, Castle is an authentic local Canadian ski resort that will offer you an intimate and unique cultural experience. As a ski instructor at Castle, you can expect challenging terrain for all levels and the classic champagne powder Canada is known for. You most definitely won’t be disappointed when you taste the fresh pow for the first time.

The Ski School

As a ski instructor at Castle Mountain, you will work in a truly local environment. You didn’t come all the way to Canada for nothing, right?  The ski school at Castle emphasizes community and togetherness, so you can expect to be welcomed in with open arms. It’s very much got a “family feel” to it, which offers you a sense of cosiness that’s helpful when you are far away from home. As for the ski training, you’re basically in paradise. The ski school is composed of many local legends who will be there to offer you feedback and additional training throughout your season. All in all, you can expect a lot of warmth and passion for skiing at Castle.

The Instructor Life

Working at Castle Mountain is all about embracing the authentic Canadian experience. That includes not just the wild backcountry and crazy good snow conditions, but also local hockey, big burgers, and the friendly “oh hey there!” vibe that defines the place. If you’re from a big city, you’ll notice a distinctly warm and engaging style among the people which is hopefully something you come to appreciate.  Overall, as a ski instructor at Castle Mountain, you  are in for a real treat of first-rate skiing combined with a local touch. We’re confident the vibes will hit you just right. 🙂
