With over 729 hectares of terrain, 80 pistes and 4 meters of annual snowfall, the resort is a local favorite. The four faces of Kimberley’s mountains are adorned with some of the driest snow, known as “Purcell Powder”. With 38% of the slopes considered black diamond or higher, you can expect a challenge regardless of your skill level and experience. Kimberley also offers the longest night skiing slopes anywhere in Canada. Finally, with 300 days of sunshine a year, a good goggle tan is basically guaranteed. So make sure to layer on the sunscreen. Kimberley Alpine Resort offers a ski school where the development of each instructor is a top priority. The resort has many highly-experienced and talented instructors, who you can expect to learn from throughout your season. The regular evening activities and excursions also create a cosy and collegial atmosphere you will get to be a part of as a ski instructor in Kimberly!
The town itself is set among the snowy mountains, with many ski-in/ski-out possibilities. As a ski instructor in Kimberley, you will receive a lift pass that works for all RCR resorts (Resorts of the Canadian Rockies). Together with fellow Snowminders, there are many opportunities to explore nearby resorts, such as Castle Mountain and Kicking Horse. Getting bored is not really an option.
